Because you can’t just slash government spending without a back up plan in place - People will suffer, people will die.
If you want to gut government spending/taxes then you need to have other programs of some sort in place to catch all the people you’re cutting off. State programs, local programs, charities, something. You can’t just slash spending and let the pieces fall where they may, other wise I guarantee you the number of homeless will be on the rise, debt will go up, poverty will skyrocket.
It’s the same damn thing with Obamacare - If you’re going to repeal then give us fucking something to put in it’s place - But no, no one has a better idea.
Think of all the jobs that will be cut right in the middle of JOBS crisis. WTF.

die? Really? You will die without the government? You do realize that you will die without food, water, sleep. Will you cease to sleep without the watchful hand of the government?First of all, you are aware that the “slash it” meme is from a tv show, it is staged and it is a joke, right?
When I say “slash it” it doesn’t mean “slash it and let them eat cake”. I believe that we spend too much money on bureaucratic services that do not work. Thus, I would like to find a privatized replacement for most services. It works better and it costs us less. Most humanitarian/philanthropic work is better in the hands of private charity/religious organizations.
What I cannot stand is that you liberals assume that we go from point X to Z and skip point Y. There is a Y, so the grounds for your argument is flawed. Thus, everything you said is incorrect.

Funny that you ask if I can’t sleep with out government. No, I think I’d still be able to sleep. But I can think of many people who wouldn’t be able to eat. Many people who wouldn’t be able to sleep soundly because it’s under an over pass. Many people who wouldn’t have access to clean water. Funny how you didn’t ask me if I’d be able to eat without the government - because you knew very well there was a chance I couldn’t. Also - You forget that some people need medication to live. They won’t have that medication anymore either, they’ll die. You could tell everyone to go get a job like a republican would - But what about Senior citizens? My grandmother is 84 yrs old with Alzheimers, without Medicare she wouldn’t receive the care she needs, but eh, she’s 84 right, she’s lived her life. What about the mentally ill, which includes some of our veterans? What about the disabled? The uneducated? And you aren’t just “cutting” programs that feed people in need, you’re cutting funding for programs that teach people how to feed themselves - Job training and clean clothes and places for them to shower and education. Libertarians keep saying they aren’t republicans but you sure sound an awful lot like them with your disregard for the poor.
Yeah, I’m aware, I’m also aware how one time you used that gif you said you were going to do exactly what he did. I’m also aware how slash is a synonym for cut, and while you’ll use “cut government spending” just fine, somehow slash is too harsh for you? Or do you like the euphemism “cut” better because it lets you forget that without assistance some people really will cease to eat?
So are you finding these privatized options, opening more charities, and donating to religious groups before or after you cut spending? You say you have a Y, so where is it? You can’t just say you’ll do it and then have no plans for it. Are you just expecting all those taxes that people won’t have to pay are going to be donated directly to charity? The pieces aren’t just going to fall magically in place. Give us your Y and we’ll back off. Also - Privatizing does not solve all our problems, you can lower prices but there will still be people who can’t afford them. X is where we are, the Y is the new plan, and Z is cutting government spending? I think it’s you guys jumping straight to Z, so why get mad at liberals when you don’t ever explain the Y stage? SHOW US THE PLANS!!!
